Biography
Sadiq Austine Okoh is Founder and CEO of CarbonFree Africa Network - an NGO committed to the eradication of Africa’s adverse carbon footprint.He is also associated with Benue State University, Makurdi, Nigeria. His work aims to support-Africa’s low carbon transition by ensuring that the continent meets her Paris commitments.Partnership with organizations with practical and cost-efficient projects towards: improved management/ conservation of natural resources in the context of Paris Agreement.Promotion of low-carbon technology by introducing improved energy efficiency, develop renewable energy sources, encourage modern biomass technology and translate climate change risk into an investment opportunity for local communities and create awareness through environmental education.He is a member of the Green Economics Institute, a think-tank on greening the economy based in Oxford. And also a technical expert of the International Bamboo and Rattan organization (INBAR) and Task Force Bamboo for Renewable Energy (TFB4RE) Steering Committee member.
